Terms of service

These terms govern your use of Pattern Pairings (the "Service") at pairings.digitalartsyhut.com, a web tool that turns the colours of your artwork into matching seamless pattern collections. The Service is operated by Creativate Studios Oy, a company registered in Finland ("we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these terms.
1. The Service
You can use the Service for free to design pattern collections from an image or a palette, preview them and download watermarked samples. Full-size files without a watermark come with a paid collection (see pricing).
2. Your artwork and colours
Your artwork is read in your browser and never uploaded to us. You keep all rights to it and to your colour choices. Please only use images you have the right to use. When you buy, we store the collection you bought (its patterns, settings and colours, not your artwork) to make your files and reopen your purchase; see the privacy policy.
3. Buying a collection
A purchase is one collection: the prints you picked (up to 12), as they were when you started checkout. For 30 days after payment you can download them in any of the offered sizes and formats, as often as you like within a fair-use limit that normal use won't reach. Changing colours or prints after buying makes a new collection. The price is shown before you pay.
Purchases are processed by Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record and reseller. Paddle handles payment, invoicing and sales tax/VAT; your payment details go to Paddle and are never seen or stored by us. Paddle's buyer terms apply to the payment itself.
4. Licence for downloaded files
The pattern designs and motif artwork are ours or our licensors'. When you buy a collection, you get a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual licence to use its files as follows.
You may:
- use the files to make and sell your own physical and digital products, such as fabric, paper goods, stationery, printables, print-on-demand items, packaging and digital designs, with no limit on quantity;
- use them in work for clients.
You may not:
- resell, share or give away the files themselves, alone or in a bundle (for example as digital papers, pattern packs, seamless tiles or clip art), or in a form that lets others extract them;
- extract the motif artwork to use or sell on its own, or use it in a logo or trademark.
The same terms ship as LICENSE.txt with every download. Free samples may be used for trying out patterns and for personal, non-commercial projects.
5. Refunds
See the refund policy, including our 30-day money-back guarantee. A refund ends the licence for that collection.
6. Fair use
Don't try to get paid files without paying, overload the Service, or use it to make content that infringes others' rights. We may limit or block access that does.
7. Availability
We aim to keep the Service available but can't guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change, improve or pause it. If a problem on our side stops you downloading a collection you bought, contact us and we'll fix it or refund you.
8. Liability
The Service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for results that depend on your own printer, print shop or platform (for example colour differences in print). Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Finnish or EU consumer law that can't be limited.
9. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Finland. If you're a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence.
10. Changes
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. Changes don't affect collections already bought.
