Privacy policy

Pattern Pairings is operated by Creativate Studios Oy, a company registered in Finland ("we"). We process personal data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). In short: your artwork never leaves your device, we keep no accounts, set no cookies, run no analytics, and only store what a purchase needs.

What stays on your device

• Your artwork (and swatch files): read, analysed and turned into patterns in your browser. It is never uploaded to or stored on our servers, not even as a thumbnail or file name.
• Style matching: a model is downloaded from our own site and runs in your browser; your image isn't sent anywhere.
• Browser storage: your browser keeps the order numbers and keys of collections you bought on it (so you can reopen them) and the email you last bought with (to fill in the form). This is local storage, not cookies; clearing your browser's site data removes it.

What we store when you buy

• Your email address, to send your download link and receipt-related messages and to let you recover your links.
• The collection you bought: each print's pattern type, settings and colours, and your palette (colour codes). We need it to make your files and to reopen your purchase on another device. Colour codes can reveal something about the colours of your artwork; they never include the artwork itself.
• Order details: order number, payment status, Paddle's transaction id, dates, and a count of downloads (for the fair-use limit).

Legal basis: performing our contract with you (delivering what you bought), and our legal obligations where they apply.

What we don't do

No advertising or tracking cookies, no analytics, no selling or sharing your data for marketing. Fonts and other files are served from our own site.

Service providers

• Cloudflare hosts the site, runs the server that renders your paid files, and stores orders. Like any web host it logs basic request data (such as IP address and time) for security and operation. To limit abuse of order and recovery forms, we keep a one-way hash of your IP address and delete it after about a day.
• Paddle.com is our Merchant of Record and handles checkout, payment, invoicing and tax. Paddle's checkout script loads only when you open your collection to buy it (from then on, Paddle may use its own cookies or storage for the checkout), and Paddle receives your email and our order number, never your patterns or artwork. • Resend delivers our emails (your address, order number and link only).

Some providers may process data outside the EU (for example in the United States); such transfers rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

Orders, email addresses and bought collections are kept for 24 months after purchase, then deleted, unless the law requires longer. You can ask us to delete yours sooner (your downloads and links stop working then).

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your data, or object to or restrict its processing, by emailing pairings@digitalartsyhut.com. We reply within one month. You can also complain to your data protection authority; in Finland, the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman.
